我学习中文的时候，没有去学校，也没有老师。

为什么我喜欢这样学习呢？

因为很方便，也不用花钱。

YouTube上有很多视频，有的人讲中文故事，有的人教中文歌，

视频有字幕，我可以一边看，一边听，也可以学很多新词。

开始的时候，我只看很短的视频，大概五分钟，这样不会太难。
When I started, I only watched very short videos, about five minutes, so it wouldn't be too difficult.
看一遍以后，我会再看一遍，只听，不看字幕。
After watching it once, I will watch it again, just listening without looking at the subtitles.
这样我可以慢慢听懂。
This way I can understand it slowly.
听不懂的时候，我会停下来，把新的词写在本子上。

播客对我来说也很重要。

学习中文要有习惯。
Learning Chinese requires a habit.
每天早上，我会花十五分钟看YouTube的视频。

晚上睡觉前，我会听播客。
Before going to bed at night, I listen to a podcast.
一天不用很长时间，但是要每天坚持。
It doesn't take a long time a day, but you have to stick to it every day.
我觉得学习语言就像每天吃饭一样，要一点一点来。
I think learning a language is like eating every day, you have to do it bit by bit.
一天学很多，可能很快就忘记，可是每天学一点，就会慢慢进步。
If you learn a lot in one day, you may forget it quickly, but if you learn a little bit every day, you will gradually make progress.
在学习的时候，我常常跟着读。
When I was studying, I often read along.
我听到一句话，就大声读出来，跟着声音模仿。
When I hear a sentence, I read it out loud and imitate the sound.
这样我的口音也会越来越好。
This way my accent will get better and better.
有时候我也会写下来，用拼音和汉字一起写。
Sometimes I also write it down, using both pinyin and Chinese characters.
比如听到“朋友”这个词，我会写下拼音“péngyǒu”，也会写汉字“朋友”。
For example, when I hear the word “friend,” I will write down the pinyin “péngyǒu” and also the Chinese character “友” (friend).
这样我可以看到、听到、说到，还可以写到，一个词学四次，就不会忘记。

有时候我也会看中国的新闻视频，虽然有点难，但我只看简单的部分。
Sometimes I also watch Chinese news videos. Although they are a bit difficult, I only watch the easy parts.
我会挑选自己感兴趣的话题，比如食物、天气或者旅游。
I pick topics that interest me, like food, weather, or travel.
这样学习不无聊，也更容易坚持下去。
This way of studying is not boring and it is easier to stick to it.
我发现，当我喜欢一个内容时，我会更快地学会。
I find that when I enjoy a piece of content, I learn it faster.
学习中文的路很长，可是有YouTube和播客，我每天都能听到中文，看到中文。
Learning Chinese is a long journey, but thanks to YouTube and podcasts, I can hear and see Chinese every day.
我觉得自己就像在中国一样，身边都是中文。
I feel like I am in China, surrounded by Chinese.
虽然我没有老师，但是我有很多“老师”，他们在视频里，在播客里。
Although I don’t have a teacher, I have many “teachers” who are in videos and podcasts.
只要我愿意听，愿意看，就可以天天进步。

慢慢地，我不再害怕听中文。

在YouTube上学习中文的时候，我有一个小方法。
When learning Chinese on YouTube, I have a little method.
首先我会选择有中文字幕的视频，因为这样我能更快理解。
First of all, I will choose videos with Chinese subtitles because I can understand them faster.
看第一遍的时候，我先注意听声音，不停下来。
When I watched it for the first time, I first paid attention to the sound without stopping.
第二遍的时候，我开始看字幕，对照声音和文字。
The second time, I started looking at the subtitles and comparing the sound and text.
第三遍的时候，我就把字幕关掉，只听声音。
The third time, I turned off the subtitles and just listened to the audio.
这样做可以帮助我从“看”到“听”，慢慢训练耳朵。
Doing this can help me move from "seeing" to "listening" and slowly train my ears.
每次我都尽量不怕错误，不怕听不懂。
Every time I try not to be afraid of making mistakes or not being able to understand.
因为我知道，多听几次，耳朵就会越来越熟悉。
Because I know that if I listen to it a few more times, my ears will become more and more familiar with it.
有时候我会用一个小本子，写下今天学到的新词。
Sometimes I use a small notebook to write down the new words I learned today.
比如我看到“天气”，我会写下拼音和汉字，还会写一个简单的句子，
For example, when I see the word "weather", I will write down the pinyin and Chinese characters, and also write a simple sentence.
比如“今天的天气很好”。

这样我就可以在生活中用到这个词。

YouTube上还有很多人做短视频，讲日常生活。
There are also many people on YouTube making short videos about their daily lives.
他们会去买菜，会做饭，会去公园。
They go grocery shopping, cook, and go to the park.
我很喜欢这种视频，因为里面的词都是生活里会用到的词。
I like this kind of video very much because the words in it are all words that we use in daily life.
我一边看，一边想象自己在中国的市场里买东西。
As I watched, I imagined myself shopping in a Chinese market.
听到“多少钱”的时候，我就会跟着说一遍。
When I hear "how much", I will say it again.
听到“我要一个苹果”的时候，我也会跟着说。
When I hear "I want an apple", I will say it too.
这样，我不只是看别人说，我也自己说。
In this way, I not only listen to what others say, I also say it myself.
我发现一个很有用的方法，就是跟读。
I found a very useful method is to follow along.
我播放一句，就暂停，然后我大声读出来。
I play a sentence, pause it, and then read it out loud.
声音要和他们一样，语气也要一样。
The voice should be the same as theirs, and the tone should be the same.
刚开始有点难，声音总是不一样，可是多练几次以后，我能说得更自然。
It was a little difficult at first because the sound was always different, but after practicing a few times, I could speak more naturally.
跟读不只是帮助我说得清楚，也让我记住句子的节奏。
Repeating not only helps me speak clearly, but also helps me remember the rhythm of the sentences.
我还会把喜欢的视频保存下来，反复看。
I also save the videos I like and watch them over and over again.
比如有一个讲中国早餐的视频，里面有豆浆、油条、包子。

我第一次看只是觉得有趣，可是第二次、第三次看，我开始记住这些词。

虽然只是玩，但是这样可以练习发音和表达。

看自己的视频，我知道哪里说得不好，哪里声音太小。
By watching my own videos, I know where I spoke poorly and where my voice was too soft.
这样我可以一点点改进。

每天学习虽然短，可是我觉得很开心。

播客对我的学习也非常重要。
Podcasts have also been very important to my studies.
和视频不一样，播客没有画面，只有声音，所以听播客的时候，我必须更加认真。
Unlike videos, podcasts have no pictures, only sounds, so I have to be more serious when listening to podcasts.
刚开始我觉得很难，因为没有字幕，不能看文字，只能靠耳朵。
At first I found it difficult because there were no subtitles and I couldn’t read the text, so I had to rely on my ears.
但是慢慢地，我发现听播客其实很方便。
But gradually, I found that listening to podcasts is actually very convenient.
走路的时候可以听，坐车的时候可以听，做饭的时候也可以听。
You can listen to it while walking, while riding in the car, or while cooking.
我每天都会在不同的时间打开播客，哪怕只有十分钟，也能听到一些中文。
I turn on the podcast at different times every day, even if it’s just for ten minutes, and I can hear some Chinese.
我最喜欢听的播客是说得比较慢的，因为慢的声音更清楚，更容易跟上。
My favorite podcasts to listen to are the ones spoken more slowly because the slower voice is clearer and easier to follow.
有的播客会重复一句话几次，这样我听一遍不懂，第二遍第三遍就能懂了。
Some podcasts will repeat a sentence several times, so if I don’t understand it the first time, I will understand it the second or third time.
听不懂的时候，我也不会着急，因为我知道我的耳朵需要时间去适应。
When I don’t understand something, I don’t get anxious because I know my ears need time to adapt.
我会一边听，一边猜意思。
I would listen and guess what was meant.
比如我听到“今天”，然后又听到“下雨”，我就能猜到他们在说今天的天气不好。
For example, if I hear "today" and then "raining", I can guess that they are saying that the weather is bad today.
这样，即使我没有全部听懂，也能明白大概的意思。
That way, even if I don't understand everything, I can still get the general idea.
我有一个习惯，就是把播客分成小段。
I have a habit of breaking up podcasts into smaller segments.
一次不要听太多，只听三分钟，然后停下来。
Don't listen too much at a time, just listen for three minutes and then stop.
把里面听到的词写下来，或者跟着读出来。
Write down the words you hear or read them out loud.
如果我一次听二十分钟，我很快就会累，也记不住太多。
If I listen for twenty minutes at a time, I get tired quickly and don't remember much.
所以我喜欢分成小部分，多次重复。
So I like to do it in small parts and repeat it multiple times.
这样，每一次听，我都会发现自己比上一次懂得多一点。
In this way, every time I listen, I find that I understand a little more than the last time.
听播客的时候，我常常会闭上眼睛，只听声音。
When I listen to podcasts, I often close my eyes and just listen to the sound.
没有画面的时候，我能更清楚地听到每一个词的声音。
When there are no images, I can hear each word more clearly.
有时候我听到熟悉的词，会心里很开心，因为说明我真的记住了。
Sometimes when I hear familiar words, I feel very happy because it means I have really remembered them.
比如第一次听到“图书馆”这个词，我完全不懂。
For example, when I first heard the word “library,” I had no idea what it meant.
但听了很多次以后，再次听到的时候，我马上就知道是“去图书馆”。
But after hearing it many times, when I heard it again, I immediately knew it meant "go to the library."
这种感觉让我很有动力。
This feeling keeps me motivated.
除了跟着听，我也会模仿播客里的句子。
In addition to listening along, I also imitate the sentences in the podcast.
有些句子很简单，比如“我喜欢喝茶”，我就会反复说。
Some sentences are simple, like “I like to drink tea,” and I will say them over and over again.
虽然很容易，但是反复练习以后，我在生活里也能自然地说出来。
Although it is easy, after repeated practice, I can say it naturally in my daily life.
我发现，简单的句子反而更重要，因为生活中常常用到。
I find that simple sentences are more important because they are often used in life.
有时候我会在早上起床的时候听一段播客，晚上睡前再听一段。
Sometimes I listen to a podcast when I wake up in the morning and another one before I go to bed at night.
这样一天就有两次接触中文。
This way you will be exposed to Chinese twice a day.
我觉得比只在一个时间听更好，因为早上和晚上心情不一样，记忆也不一样。
I think it is better than listening to it at only one time, because the mood and memory are different in the morning and evening.
早上头脑清楚，可以学新词；晚上比较放松，可以复习和重复。
In the morning, your mind is clear, so you can learn new words; in the evening, you are more relaxed, so you can review and repeat.
慢慢地，我发现听播客让我更有信心。
Slowly, I found that listening to podcasts gave me more confidence.
以前我总觉得听中文很难，现在我能听懂很多简单的句子。

学习中文的时候，我发现最重要的是每天坚持。
When learning Chinese, I found that the most important thing is to persist every day.
有的人一天学两个小时，可是只学三天就放弃了。
Some people study for two hours a day, but give up after only three days.
我不这样做，我只给自己一个小目标，就是每天学三十分钟。
I don’t do that. I just set a small goal for myself, which is to study for thirty minutes every day.
十五分钟看视频，十五分钟听播客。
Fifteen minutes watching videos and fifteen minutes listening to podcasts.
这样不会太累，也不会觉得难。
This way you won’t be too tired or feel difficult.
每天学一点点，就像每天走一小步，慢慢就能走得很远。
Learning a little bit every day is like taking a small step every day, and slowly you can go a long way.
每天学习的时候，我喜欢把时间分开。
When I study each day, I like to space my time out.
早上起来的时候，我先看一个短视频。
When I wake up in the morning, I watch a short video first.
视频里常常有字幕，我能一边看一边学。
The videos often have subtitles, so I can learn as I watch.
中午休息的时候，我会听一段播客，不需要看手机，只用耳朵听。
During my lunch break, I listen to a podcast without looking at my phone, just using my ears.
晚上睡觉前，我会复习今天学到的词，再听一次播客，把新词再记一遍。
Before going to bed at night, I will review the words I learned that day and listen to the podcast again to memorize the new words again.
这样，一天三次接触中文，我觉得效果很好。
In this way, I feel that being exposed to Chinese three times a day is very effective.
我还发现，大声读出来非常有用。
I also found that reading it out loud was very helpful.
每次我看到新词或者新句子，我不会只看一眼，而是会读三次甚至五次。
Every time I see a new word or sentence, I don’t just glance at it, I read it three or even five times.

有时候我一个人在房间里读中文，感觉有点好笑，可是我知道这样做真的很有帮助。

写的时候，我喜欢用拼音和汉字一起写。
When I write, I like to use pinyin and Chinese characters together.
比如今天学到“学校”这个词，我会写下拼音“xuéxiào”，也会写下“学校”。
For example, if I learned the word “学” today, I would write the pinyin “xuéxiào” and also write “学”.
写完以后，我再用这个词造一个句子，比如“我去学校”。

生活里的东西都是最常见的，也是最容易学的。

这样学习，我不会觉得无聊，还觉得很有趣。
Studying this way doesn’t make me feel bored, it’s actually very interesting.
有时候我学习的时候会觉得有点累，可是我告诉自己，不要停下来。
Sometimes I feel a little tired when I study, but I tell myself not to stop.
哪怕只听五分钟播客，也比什么都不做好。
Even just five minutes of listening to a podcast is better than nothing.
慢慢地，我发现自己能听懂越来越多的话。
Slowly, I found that I could understand more and more words.
我记得第一次听播客的时候，只懂一个词。
I remember the first time I listened to the podcast, I only understood one word.
可是现在，我能听懂一句话，甚至一小段。
But now, I can understand a sentence, or even a short paragraph.
这让我很开心，也让我更想继续学。
This makes me happy and makes me want to continue learning even more.
我相信，学习中文就像种树。
I believe that learning Chinese is like planting a tree.
每天给它一点水，一点阳光，它就会慢慢长大。

每天坚持十五分钟看视频，十五分钟听播客，加上读、写和生活里的练习，

我觉得这是最好的习惯。

慢慢学习的过程让我有很多新的感觉。

刚开始的时候，我常常觉得自己听不懂，也说不出来，心里有点害怕。
At the beginning, I often felt that I couldn’t understand or express myself, and I felt a little scared.
可是随着每天的练习，我开始发现自己的进步。

以前我只会说“你好”“谢谢”，现在我可以说一些简单的句子，

这些小小的进步让我觉得非常开心。

我学到一个很重要的道理，就是学习中文不需要很快，而是需要每天都学一点。

每天三十分钟，不多也不少，可是时间长了，就能看到很大的变化。

有时候，我会把学到的新词和句子讲给朋友听。

朋友听到以后，会笑着说我越来越像中国人。

我听到这样的话，心里觉得很有动力。
When I heard these words, I felt very motivated.
我明白学习语言不仅是为了考试，更是为了可以和别人交流。
I understand that learning a language is not only for exams, but also for being able to communicate with others.
能用中文说出心里的想法，这是最让我兴奋的事情。
What excites me most is being able to express my thoughts in Chinese.
在复习的时候，我喜欢把学过的词汇分组。
When reviewing, I like to group the vocabulary I have learned.
比如食物一组，天气一组，学校一组。
For example, food is grouped together, weather is grouped together, and school is grouped together.
这样复习的时候更清楚，也更容易记住。
This way, you will be clearer when reviewing and easier to remember.
我发现很多词可以放在一起用，比如“今天下雨，我带伞去学校”。
I found that many words can be used together, such as "It rains today, I take an umbrella to school."
这样一个句子里就有好几个学过的词。
There are several learned words in this sentence.
我觉得比单独记词更有效。
I think it is more effective than memorizing words alone.
有时我也会遇到困难。

有的视频太快，我听不懂；有的播客内容太多，我记不住。

When I wake up every morning, I look forward to learning something new; before I go to bed at night, I think about what I have learned that day.
